    Register for 2008 courses

The weather is getting warmer (slowly), and classes are starting to fill. If you've been thinking about getting some quality kayak instruction this year, take a look at the courses listed on the Azimuth Expeditions website and call to reserve your spot soon. Course listings are limited and spaces fill fast. We look forward to hearing from you!

    Guide Book Changes

A Sea Kayaker's Guide to the San Juan Islands, the latest paddling guide from Little Bay Press, was set to be released during the first week of April. Because of unforeseen difficulties in the printing process, the release date has been moved to May 4th, 2008. If you have any questions, please call (253) 691-7941.

    Port Angeles symposium

Every April, Olympic Raft and Kayak hosts its symposium at the Red Lion in Port Angeles. This unique Northwest event draws hundreds of paddlers from around the region and features exciting presentations, informative skills classes and a chance to boogie down to great live music in the evenings. Azimuth's own Ken Campbell is the Friday night keynote speaker… come out and say hello! If you've never attended, you should make the trip this year and see what all the hoo-hah is about. For more information, call (888) 452-1443 or click here.

    New blog launched

The Olympic Peninsula is a special and unique area with something to offer outdoor enthusiasts of any kind. The Last Wilderness is an ongoing forum on the subject of the Olympic Peninsula and the opportunities that it holds for kayakers, climbers, canoeists and backpackers. Trip reports and historical notes, as well as the usual odds and ends are featured in this new blog about the wild side of one of the most wonderful, and least-known, parts of North America. Visit http://lastwilderness.blogspot.com and see why exotic doesn't necessarily mean far away.
